Ministries
The
arms and legs of NLCF are found within the many auxiliary ministries.
It is here that we learn to grow together in discipleship, fellowship,
and service.
New Members/Discipleship is a fellowship designed for
new members to gain additional insight into the mission of New Life
Christian Fellowship and what it means to live a life of fullness in
Christ. In this interactive setting, participants learn the groundwork
pertaining to salvation, water baptism, baptism in the Holy Spirit,
praise and worship, tithing, and utilizing one’s gifts to serve
God.
M.M.O.V.(Mighty Men of Valor) Seeks to meet the spiritual
and unique emotional needs of men through fellowship, practical teachings,
and open discussions. Men are encouraged to pray for one another and
develop trusting relationships as they meet.
W.I.S.E. Women (Walking In Spiritual Excellence) In
harmony with the Ministry Theme – “We Grow To Change,”
we encourage women to present their body and their life before the Lord.
As we present ourselves (spirit, soul and body) to God, he will change
our lives for His Glory. God values women and He has had a destiny for
our lives from the beginning of time. He wants us to proceed in our
development in a creative, relevant and enjoyable way. Our job is to
embrace the journey!
Children’s Church services the ministry needs
of children between the ages of two through twelve years old. Children
participate in praise and worship, prayer, and thematic teaching. The
Word of God is ministered at their level through song, skits, role-playing,
videos, and other creative methods. Emphasis is on developing a relationship
with God.
Young Men to Young Men ages 12 to 19 come together
in an informal setting to play ball, video games, fellowship and talk
about the reality of serving God without being perceived as a punk.
A.F.B. (Appointed From Birth) Youth are challenged
to walk out their purposes in God, which was established before the
foundation of the world through interactive games, discussions, and
teen summits keep to step with the pulse of the culture without compromise.
This offers our youth relevant Biblical teaching necessary to renew
their minds. AFB is committed to instruct our youth how to live in the
world without being of the world.
Armor Bearers serve Bishop Donald R. Black, and Pastor
Vanessa A. Black, Staff Pastors and other Ministry Staff after completing
a series of training courses.
Porter’s Ministry is for men of all ages who
desire to serve the body of Christ in maintaining order during services
by seating worshippers, provide offering envelopes, and assist needs
of others so that all may enjoy the presence of God.
Greeter’s Ministry are servants of the most High
who welcome members and visitors to the House of the Lord with enthusiasm
while clothed in the garment of praise.
D.E.A.F. (Discovering Eternal Amazing Friends) offers
a beginner’s American Sign so those participants can learn to
communicate with the deaf community in both spiritual and social domains.
The ultimate goal is to provide sign language interpretation for church
services.
E.O.P. (Expressions of Praise) exhibits a variety of
praise and adoration through dance. In glorifying God in this form of
worship, the anointing is poured, yokes are destroyed, and burdens removed.
EOP is committed to tearing down the enemies kingdom and to experience
God in a powerful way.
Drama Ministry supports the pastoral vision for the
Ministry in the area of visual arts by producing illustrated “sermons”
in the form of musical staging, dialogue, skits, simple mime, and full
dramatic plays. This multi-sensory approach is designed to enhance spiritual
awareness and development in living an overcoming life. In all thy getting,
